We will drive to Pisgah Mountain/Restaurant, located in The Pisgah Inn – The Peak of the Parkway on Tuesday, Aug 22nd. Beautiful views, a wonderful scenic drive and good food await this late morning/early afternoon excursion.

Meet at the now closed Kevin Whitaker User Cars, 10 Kirby Drive, Travelers Rest, SC. It’s just off Route 25 at a 4-way intersection about 1 mile north of Walmart. Meeting there will avoid entanglements with turns and lights.

Be there at 11:15 and we will leave at 11:30 sharp.

The inn require reservations, so we will need a definite count by Friday, August 18th. Please email Brenda Verdone at BVerdone@charter.net by that date if you wish to participate in the drive.

We plan to arrive about 1:15. We will be seated in groups of 4 or 6, and will not be seated all at once - there will be a wait.  If you require seating asap for medical reasons, please email BVerdone@charter.net and we will put your name first.

There is a grab & go convenience store with fresh made sandwiches and salads, even beer & wine, to take and sit outside if anyone prefers to do that.  The weather forecast is great and the views are amazing. 

There are beautiful overlooks, rivers and waterfalls along the way that you may want to stop at on your return trip home.  These are heavily trafficked and some gravel/ruts, so we will not be stopping along the way up.
