The Travelers Rest Christmas Parade starts at 10:00 am and winds its way through downtown Travelers Rest where spectators eagerly and enthusiastically line both sides of the street. If you would like to register your car to become part of the Ridge Runner Corvettes entry into the parade, please Dave Smits at dave.smits@live.com or (309) 721-1319, but here are the steps:
Print this form. It’s the registration form and parts of it have been pre-filled out so the parade committee will know it is a Ridge Runner Corvettes registration.
Fill out the Contact name, phone, and email on the registration form.
Print this form (2 copies if you will have a passenger). It’s the parade Rules, Guidelines & Waiver form and parts of it have been pre-filled out so the parade committee will know it is a Ridge Runner Corvettes waiver.
Read the rules and guidelines.
The driver should sign and date one copy of the waiver and the passenger should sign the second copy.
Write a check to GTRCC for your $5.00 registration fee.
Mail the completed forms and your check to GTRCC, 101 Center Street, Travelers Rest, SC 29690.
Email Dave Smits to tell him that you have mailed your forms. ALSO tell him if you are interested in a group meal after the parade.
Start thinking about how you want to decorate your vehicle.
The parade will start at 10:00 am but we will be asked to stage for the parade. We won’t know our spot in the parade or the designated time to arrive at the staging area until the day before the parade. We can pre-stage at the Smits residence.
